This Father’s Day has been a tough one. Yesterday I lost my dad, Tom “Tad” Douville. He passed away at the age of 80. He raised me as a single father, and we had a wonderful relationship, and I’m incredibly grateful for the time we shared, the conversations we had, and all the things he taught me throughout my life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era as a Petty Officer Second Class, working in electronics aboard the USS Palm Beach. He was an outdoorsman, a storyteller, and someone who lived life on his own terms. Today I spent Father’s Day going through his things and found some amazing old photos that I wanted to share. Looking through them gave me a chance to see parts of his life from before I knew him – his navy years, younger days, and the experiences that shaped him. Love you Dad. I’ll miss you.
